These kayaks are for covering ground and carrying payloads, the mountain bikes of the kayak world.  They have comfortable cockpits with plenty of legroom and big storage compartments.  You can carry maybe 50 pounds in a heavy backpack on land;  all of these kayaks can carry 100 pounds or more for camping trips.  We hear of CLC kayaks traversing the length of the Sea of Cortez and going deep into Alaska.

For all the cruising capability, we don't believe in sacrificing speed.  All of these kayaks have above-average cruising speeds.
