I'm 6 feet tall. The forward footbraces in my MC 16.5 are mounted all the way forward - that is, the front of the rail is up against the front bulkhead. If I click those forward footbrace pedals into their furthest rearward position, it puts my butt right at the center of gravity of the boat - somewhere right around the forward hanging knees. That's exactly where I want to be when I'm paddling the boat solo. I've found that I can control it from there even in a pretty stiff wind.
