Durn plywood's too short
Posted by Jay E. Morris on May 11, 2004
I'm planning on doing an 18'* Chespeake (or the like). I plan on doing it from the plans since I've located a plywood source within a reasonable distance (for various values of resaonable)**. But I can only get 4x8 sheets. I've found 5x10 sheets on the net but the price bump is huge. So I figure I'm going to have to scarf twice. Is this a Very Bad Thing(TM)? If not, any recomendations on placement?
*Why 18? Plenty of volume for touring and there's a, uh, weight factor involved. **Not to mention that a bit o' money here and there goes does easier with she who must be obeyed.
