What paddle to buy?

My Chesapeake dbl is almost finished. Just need to sand and varnish before the maiden voyage. I intend to spend most of my yakin on the Missouri river from Holter dam to the scenic white cliffs area east of Fort Benton, Montana. The water moves at a flow of 1- 6mph with an occasional stretch of whitewater (Nothing higher than a cat 0.05). The question at this piont is what paddles to buy. I am 6 ft 185 lbs while my wife is 5'4" and between 105-115. My only exp. is with an old coleman canoe on the same waters. Looking forward to your advice. Jim in Montana
