3M makes a great product called 101. it is very similar to a bedding compound for bedding marine hardware(in place of silicone)it stays soft and flexible without letting in moisture. there is also a product out there called Anti-Bond. it is designed to break the bond of silicone and other sealants without hurting epoxy ect. I have used this stuff on marine 5200(by 3m) and it works great!
