The microballon mix will feather out nicely. In the photo I posted the mix is feathering out taped seams. The seams were sanding down mostly then faired with the mix. Note that you need to overcoat the sanded mix with clear unthickened epoxy to seal it before painting. Just sand that coating lightly as prep for the paint. Good luck!
