Joe, on large flat areas I do a figure 8 with the board at least where I can. I use it for takeing down the high spots, fairing in any filling I did, smoothing the entry (bow). So far I've only used it for the coarser grits, but I still have "finish" coats to do. so who knows. I round the chines with hand held paper. RogerJ
