it doesn't take much moisture for dark waterstain to develop so I bet there isn't much to dry out,,probably a week would be plenty. I wonder if the amount of water that would cause freezing/expansion problems would already show up with a distorted surface texture. I don't know if there's a method to remove the dark streaks.
