Golly, I hope the strap will do it - I'm in the same boat (kayak). If I loose my glasses, I may as well perish - wouldn't be able to find North America without em.

Hey, how about keeping an old pair stashed (duct-taped) securely in the cockpit somewhere?

LeeG is always talking about the underdeck area between the knees.
