Steve, thanks for the interesting post. I paddled an old WR180 once upon a time, and found it very stable and fast. But what I'd like to know is how you got 'er to TURN. That little missile took *forever* to swing 'round...
I have paddled my hard-chined Cormorant in some pretty stiff gales now, up to about 25 mph, and I'm here to tell you I keep 'er leaned heavily on the upwind chine, and use a strange looking asymetric stroke that involves almost gripping the downwind blade in a near vertical power stroke, and sweeping the upwind one wide -- all to maintain a straight line course.
