Outriggers

Has anyone here built these outriggers and adapted them to a non CLC kayak(aka factory made plastic or fiberglass boat) I want to eventually build an entire kayak but to begin with these much smaller outriggers are a lot less intimidating to contemplate ... sure hope I can buy only the outrigger kit without a whole sailing kit though.
