Cloth on the deck-

Hi- Anyone out there use regular cloth as the "glass" on the deck? I am building a CH 16 for my wife and she wants a patterned cloth laid on the deck. I am thinking of a sarong or some sort of cool fabric. Ideas, thoughts? I have done a search of the archives but I can't believe we are the first to think of/do this.
