I built a kayak with CYA (Super) glue. And it FLOATS!
To ensure that it wicks into the crack, see if you can get the incredibly thin (1-3 sec) CYA sold in hobby shops. This stuff will run all over the place - so be very careful. I always have an opened can of acetone nearby - but then I'm a total klutz.
