Thanks! I hadn't thought about reducing the height of the tank tops. Will check this out tonight.

I did the seats/thwarts using a very similar method to your marking with a pen. Worked well. I also considdered starting at the Bow, but opted to folow the instructions and started stiching at the stern. I did have to do a fair amount of work to clean up the Bow but it wasn't too bad.

What oars/sculls do you use? I'm looking at these options now. I will be using a Row Wing.
