I learn something again. There are two readily available (big box stores) "hardwoods" where I live, Oak and Poplar. Oak does not take epoxy well and Poplar is,...like Kurt said ugly. Light almost white with grey green streaks and patches through it. It's why I still make the occassional trip to the hardwoods lumber stores. RogerJ
