Personally, I don't like the idea of predrilled holes, but it will make it a helluva lot easier to put together quickly, along with the prealignment of the finger joints.

I'm thinking a hybrid is in my near future, assuming I like the way it paddles at the small craft festival next weekend. (Also assuming I make it to the small craft festival.)
