Perfect weather for getting epoxy and finishes to cure quickly. Bake away and enjoy your trip.

As far as racks go, I've owened a few over the years. finally settled on just padding crossbars on my subaru and installing the u-shaped Thule stackers in the middle of each bar. This keeps two boats very stable and the whole set up costs about $125 with straps, much less than other systems.

'Course, this will reopen the annual debate about the pros/cons of the various, often pricey, racks available.
