The Shearwater has the same beam as the Arctic Hawk and thus similar stability characteristics. But the Shearwater has a MUCH bigger cockpit; maybe 40% larger than the Hawk's.

As for Shearwater vs. Merganser....they're almost the same hull, with refinements to the newer boat, but IMHO the Shearwater's deck is prettier.
