countersink footbrace bil

OK, first boat and I would like to not have the bolt heads showing on the hull. I found some large head but flat countersink bolts and thought I would beef up the underside of the footbraces with 4M ply inside the hull and counter sink the bolts and glass over them.

Clear as mud..again?

What am I missing? besides a few brain cells... Thanks, Eric
