unglassed 4mm..

with lots of round over, that explains it. 6mm is plenty strong but it's not hard enough for regular use. Once it's glassed one might as well use 4mm for cost reasons. I've used 4mm glassed on both sides. If the Chesapeake kits eliminated 6mm ply for the coaming and bulkheads they could be cheaper without any loss of strength once the coaming was glassed.
