Yep,
Taking a plane iron out to sharpen it, realign it, make 5 little passes at epoxy and do it all again will drive anyone around the bend. Plane irons are not tempered very hard. Cribide steel on the other hand, seems indestructable.
Even regular paint scrapers dull quickly - gotta be carbide!
(that's 2 cents Cdn - way cheaper than Mark, and still a rip-off)
