Thats straight from the Sharpie page, so its difficulty level doesn't seem that much greater than that of a kayak, just a larger scale. As far as configuring her with only one mast, you building from plans should be able to modify front area to have a smallish cabin with mast basically between where the 2 are now, maybe add a jib up front and you'd be hooked up. Just a beginners view of the deal! Good luck with your project!
