out of cab-o-sil

Hi,

I'm putting the last coats of epoxy on the top of my mill creek 16.5. This weekend I'll be doing the coaming and rub rails. I used up all of the cab-o-sil. Can I use colloidal silica powder from West systems? I can get it locally. I'm thinking that wood flour will be too dark and maybe not as strong?
