I agree, I may test it someday, but with two toddlers running around the house, I've been keeping pretty busy.
I relied heavily on the testing of others when building my light strong NH. Sam McFadden and Ted Henry did a lot of testing, that led me down the path I chose. The 6 oz satin s-glass is the most ding resistant, and also stronger than most, and the 5 oz tight-weave is stronger than all others that were tested. That is why I used the 6 oz satin s-glass on the outside and the 5 oz tight-weave on the inside. This glass is strong enough that it often delaminates from the wood before breaking, it is very tough stuff.
