Hi Lee,

Hope alls been well...

I find my dirtiest footprint in the cockpit is that first step in the cockpit, hence my keel strip advice. With my kayak however, man o' man, there is sooo much extra epoxy/glass in there. I mean in the whole kayak... first time though, better safe and humongously strong then sorry.
