Thanks... I checked out the kit from superior on their website. From what I see, it looks quite nice. Anyone here have experience with it? What type of mechanism does it use... bungee & cord? Sliding cable/rod? I'm very curious.

With regard to bungee/cable arrangements: Is there an inherent benefit to designs which use a bungee to extend the skeg as opposed to retracting it? Is it better for the bungee to pull the skeg up or to pull it down?
