Re: Choosing a Mill Creek

I am no expert but if you allready have two rec style boats you may want something more performance oriented...thinking big lakes etc. I have been fishing from a rec. style boat and built a mill creek double last year so I could take my son out to play...its wide its stable and I had a great time building it. The manual is excellent and I learned a lot. A number of guys are using the clc Chesapeake kayaks to fish from. They make a 16' version...was recommended to me when I asked a similar question of the main clc dude (company president?). I decided to build the Shearwater intead...which is really way different than my rec boats and perhaps a little tight for my saltwater flyfishing but...it will keep things interesting and when I have to chase the fish I will enjoy it more.
