Rowing/Exercise boat

I would like to build a rowing boat to use for exercise. I have been looking at the Anapolis Wherry but I am a little concerned about the low free board. I am 240# - plan to get to 200# by rowing - and don't want to be taking too many spills in the lake. The Chester Yawl may be a better choice but I don't know if it will perform as well.

Any suggestions? Thanx, Don C
