The cove and bead help mainly to keep the strips aligned to each other a bit better. You could go to longer spacing between forms and the strips will still stay side by side. Also gives a bit of a groove to apply the glue to. On the temp forms, put a layer of duct tape over it where the strips will set. This prevents gluing the strips to the forms. Here's some pictures of stripping the deck of my Guillemot. There are more pictures there for cutting the bead and cove too. If you decide on b&c, do the bead first as the cove is a bit fragile to be pushed through the rig. Good luck, if you have any questions, shoot me an email. Tony Olsen
