epoxy cure before varnish
Posted by M Davis on May 6, 2006
I know this has been asked and answered many times here but I'll ask again anyway. How long do I need to let the "last" coat of epoxy cure before varnishing?
I sanded into the glass while sanding to get ready to varnish so it looks like another coat of epoxy is in order. So, the varnishing will be delayed.
To complicate things I will be spending a week at a lake cabin pretty soon and would like to take the boat, but don't want the evil UV rays to do their worst. Would using an unvarnished yak for a week make a big difference in the long-term quality of the finish?
Happy building, MD
