Hi Alan

First please pardon my English, I'm not native to it.

From the look of the picture it seems like you've started to nail down the deck from the "cockpit"? From the looks of it now I don't think you can nail down that deck with a good result with any clamp or rope or buddies to help you.

Try pulling the nails, if possible, and start over 'n start nailing where the rope is in the picture (don't drive the nails all the way down so you can adjust the deck).
