It's common practice to only use Kevlar on the outside of a hull if it is buried under a thick gel coat or a layer of 'glass. The reason for this is Kevlar abrades into yellow tufts that cannot be sanded of and, can only be cut off with special shears. And, althought Kevlar has much more tensile strength than 'glass, it is not much better at wording off abrasion.
