I ran my mc16.5 down a similar river in West Virginia. I tore the bottom all up including cracking the wood in a couple places. I spent the next three months patching, adding a layer of glass, the putting on cabosil and graphite. I now have a tank. I havent tried it on a rocky river since, so I don't know how well it will stand up.
