Gober, I paddle the upper Brazos often myself, I'd check those river levels (Graford).....It's only running at 56cfs now!(you want at the very least 100cfs) Lots of dragging at this level, I'd consider renting or bringing tupperware if you don't want to scuff up your bottom!:) As for scratch resistance, go with the graphite/cabosil mixture, them rocks will never hit "on" the "rubstrips", always inbetween, & for the sandbars, rubstrips won't make a differance anyways.
