tried stencil paint?
Posted by Dennis Rioux on Dec 3, 2006
Good afternoon,
I am making a CH14 for my oldest daughter, hopefully to be finished in time as a holiday gift, and I want to reproduce a stencil design that's in her room on the foredeck of the kayak. Has anybody tried oil based stencil paints directly on the wood? I am going to do a test myself at some point but was wondering if anybody has experience with this. The paints are Paintstik's (basically a solid paste) made by a company called Shiva. I plan to put the stencil down on the wood and go over the top with the glass. I did a rice paper design on my WR18 a few years ago and had no problem under the glass, but this seems like a different animal all together. Thanks for your help.
Dennis
