Re: Need some expertise

I do finish work for a living. I wouldn't recommend it. It's tough, it's resistant to scratching but it will sustain "road rash" after a while....all guitars do. I recently attempted to strip an expoxy finished Strat body for a friend and it turned into 3 1/2 - 4 hour sanding nightmare. Trying to "refinish" at some point will be next to impossible using epoxy. Stain-wise, I would check out some of the aniline dye stains formulated for guitars. Very clear and vibrant and bring out great depth under clear coats.
