Re: Pyro

I just bought a book from Lee Valley written by a lady from Australia named Sue Walters. It's called Pyrography Workbook.
I can't believe her work - positively breathraking.
I think there's a lot of fun to be had with this art form - which, according to her is having a resurgence. (Started in the Victorian era using hot pokers from the fireplace.)
I think I'll practice a great deal on my okoume kayaks' decks and Greenland paddles. The sapele on the Sea Island may be much too ornate on it's own for burning - lending itself more to onlays a la Krewson.
Thanks again, Kim!
Mac from where it's gettin' flippin' COLD!!
