Shop Air Changes
Posted by Dan B on Dec 17, 2006
I'm building my first boat (Chesapeake 17) in a shop I built in my basement. Since my family seems reluctant to move out for a few months, I need to make sure I don't fume up the joint with epoxy, etc...
I'd like to install some sort of "industrial strength" vent fan. I tried a box fan and it didn't cut it. The shop is about 3000 cubic feet.
Q1 - How many air changes should I shoot for so I can size the vent fan? Q2 - Any recommendations on the type of fan to buy - realtive to cost, noise, and being up for the task in general. (15 amp 120 volt service)
I don't want to blow more 70 degree air outside into the MN winter that I have to...
Thanks in advance.
