Rolling a CH17
Posted by David on Dec 18, 2006
I was at a pool session recently and I was told that I probably would never learn to roll in a CH17. Actually I had a 17LT but my main kayak is a 17. The suggestion was to learn on a different boat and then try the chesapeake.
A second thing i was told was that a greenland style roll would be impossible because of the high back but a C to C roll would be possible but again not on a 17 to learn but maybe after perfecting the technique on another boat.
So, Has anyone learnt to roll and roll well on a CH17 or CH17LT?
Thanks David
