3/4" plywood for building

I am rather new to boat building. I have just completed a 12' basic skiff. My next project requires that I build the boat around frames. Where I live (Ohio) it is very hard to find the type of wood the plans call for in making the frames. My question: Can I use 3/4" exterior ply wood encapulated with epoxy resin to make the frames? Thanks for any help.
