I agree with Jim E and think a canoe paddle would be the answer. If you are seated in the main hull you can steer with rudder pedals and when hiked out under sail you could use fiberglass tiller sticks ala Hobie Cat. You might want to consider lashing a hiking board across the two forward akas ala Malibu Outrigger style. Not quite as sexy as the rope netting... look forward to hearing more about your project as you progress.... Warren
