I've been wondering about

binders. But are there binders in cloth anyway ?
I bought some fiberglass mat for a project, one that has been put off for a while, but in the meantime I've read that mat is held together with a binder that is soluble only in polyester, not epoxy. So unless I use polyester, which I haven't in a long, long time, I don't know what to do with the stuff. Maybe vinylester.
Anyway, the way I read it, mat had binders-I guess to hold the random fibers together- that cloth did not need, so only cloth was appropriate for epoxy. Is there something I missed ?
