Mill Creek 16 seams
Posted by Chris J. on Feb 17, 2007
I stitched my Mill Creek 16 together today. It went together very nicely. As there is not much transition between the sheer and the bilge panels, I'd like to tack these seams from the outside and remove the stitches before applying a small fillet and glassing the interior. The seam really flattens out toward the bow and stern. Will I be able to push enough thickened epoxy into this seam so that it will hold together once the stitches are out or is there another trick for handling these tight seams areas? Does anyone have a good mix to use just for tacking?
Thanks
Chris
