Lemons to Lemonade

Laszlo, Rather than lament (I hope "lament" doesn't violate the newly instituted vocabulary grade level rules) the ice, why not build an ice boat instead? Then you'd have something to look forward to in the winter. There are several plans suitable for plywood/epoxy construction with simple windsurfer rigs.

Since winter isn't what it used to be, you may want to consider the wheel option for use on the beach at low tide.
