Passagemaker
Posted by Ken Graham on Feb 25, 2007
Hi all, I'm making a Passagemaker Takeapart. About 75 hours into the project. It actually looks like a boat. --finally--.
Question? Has anyone thought about or calculated the position for a towing padeye for the bow? I don't think that the base of the forward transom would work too well. Yhe pictures show the bow rather high and I'm afraid it might tend to pull the bow down when towing. I'm not a high speed guy only run about 8 kts, but never the less....
I wonder how far aft of the bow on the bottom would be appropriate. I'd of course back up the inside with an epoxied block. This would need to be done before installing the forward seat.
Thanks for any thoughts
Ken
