The CLC kayaks that might be described as race boats would be the Pax and West River designs. An important dimension is the beam. Narrow equals fast, but also tippy (low primary stability). Sitting in one of these boats might come as a shock if you are used to a beamy sit-on-top. Anything with a beam less than about 21" is going to take quite a bit of getting used to. As always, take one for a test paddle before you choose, if possible.
Another point - the speed difference between a 'race boat' and a normal touring kayak is not as great as you might think.
