Dave, beautifully done hatch!

Please answer a few questions: For hardware it looks like you use two t-nuts and a bolt, but what is the purpose of the square piece of foam? Does the bolt extend past the biscuit shaped knob when you tighten it, and do you think your system would work on a large 10x24 hatch?
