Thanks for the info.

I am a bigger guy (265lbs - but, proverbially, want to take off 50lbs of that). I like the idea of a day hatch - simply for it's function, but the utility of it being there to support my weight on entry and exit.

My biggest thing for the LT is that I need a kayak of the size because of my weight - not so much for it's camping/gear holding capabilities. I was thinking the LT would be a nice compromise for me.

As for hatches... does anyone use 3rd-party hatch covers instead of making their own?
