Newbie Kayak Selection

Another new guy here looking for advice on what kayak to build. Again, I am totally new to kayaking, I'm 5'8", 170 pounds, size 8.5 shoe size. I live in Michigan and will use this kayak mostly on smaller inland lakes that don't see alot of traffic but can get whipped up by the wind. There is a small chance I may use it on some of the Great Lakes but proabably only once or twice a year in nice conditions. My goal for getting out on the water is mainly for relaxation/puting my head back on straight. I won't be using it for any touring so I'm not concerned about cargo capacity.
