Thanks for your input Kurt. I do plan to make sure the kayak fits me but do plan to have others paddle it. I plan on building another different kayak over the winter so I'm looking for the best all around location for the forward bulkhead. Basically anyone who built any style Chesapeake should be able to give me this general dimension from their plans. Then I can locate it on my kayak and make adjustments for where I want my bulkhead. Thanks
